Sask Athletes Win Silver
Kris Odegard and Tim Landeryou of Saskatoon are coming home from the World Championships with silver medals in the men’s team competition! Odegard and Landeryou, along with teammates Vincent Gagnon of Quebec and Mike Green of Ontario came up against the team from the United States in the gold medal match. Brandi Jacobson Prentice, formerly of Saskatoon was part of the women’s team that won bronze. Earlier in the week Landeryou, Odegard and Jacobson Prentice all had excellent results in the singles event and qualified to compete at next years World Games in Columbia.

Saskatchewan Athletes Successful at National Championships
16 Saskatchewan athletes are coming home with excellent results from the Canadian Racquetball Championships held in Brossard, Quebec from May 21 to 26. 166 athletes from across Canada participated in the event. Tournament results from the Women and Men’s Open Events will be used towards the selection of the team that will represent Canada at the World Racquetball Championships being held this August in the Dominican Republic. Great Results in Doubles Events for Saskatchewan Athletes
Saskatchewan athletes had 3 podium finishes in doubles at the Canadian Racquetball Championships. Our best results came in the Women’s Open Doubles event where Saskatchewan athletes won silver and bronze. Click here to read more
Saskatchewan Athletes Named to Junior National Team
Four Saskatchewan athletes have been named to the Junior National Team following their results at the Junior National Championships held April 24th to 28th in Winnipeg. Zoe Hanson, Ashton Duda of Regina and Danielle and Callie Drury of will represent Canada at the World Junior Racquetball Championships to take place November 11 – 17 in Los Angeles, California. Saskatchewan Wins Overall Point Title
Saskatchewan athletes won the overall point total at the 2012 Junior National Racquetball Championships. 14 athletes from around the province competed in singles and doubles events over the week with their success netting Saskatchewan the title for the 2nd year in a row.

Richardson Wins Bronze at Pan Am Championships
Congratulations to Christine Richardson who won a bronze medal in the women’s doubles event at the 2012 Pan Am Championships with partner Jen Saunders of Winnipeg. Richardson and Saunders had solid wins in pool play and moved into the elimination round winning first in their pool. Tim Landeryou and Nathaniel Husulak had tight games in pool play before moving onto the elimination round.

Racquetball Canada Annual General Meeting
The Racquetball Canada Annual General Meeting and election of Executive Members will take place on Sunday, May 20th at Nautilus Plus 1870 rue Panama, Brossard, QC starting at 4:00 PM EST. The three positions on the board open for election include; President, Vice-President High Performance and Vice President – Technical. The deadline for nominations is April 15th. Pam Am Games
Christine Richardson, Tim Landeryou and Nathanial Husulak have been named to the team representing Canada at the upcoming 2012 Pan-American Racquetball Championships in Temuco, Chile. The competition will run from March 31st to April 7th, 2012. Click here for more info.
